Create a zooming
in effect with gradients in Fireworks
This tutorial will teach you how to give a 3D Zoom effect
to an image.
Step 1
Paste an image on the canvas.
Step 2
Select the image and go to Filters>Eye Candy>Bevel
Boss
Step 3
Please give the following values for the Basic option.
Bevel Width - 16, Height - 50, Smoothness - 100, Bevel
Placement - Inside marquee, Darken deep areas - 0, Shade
Interior - not checked
Then give the following values for the Lighting option. Highlight
brightness - 70, Size - 64, Highlight and Shadow Colors white and black
(default). Click on the next tab, Bevel Profile and select cutaround.
Step 4
Then draw a rectangle on the same canvas, but slightly bigger than the picture. Right click on it and selecting Flatten
Selection to convert
it to a bitmap.
Fill the rectangle with a colour.
Step 5
Selected the rectangle and click on Filters>Blur>Zoom
Blur. And give the values : Amount - 80 and Quality - 45.
Step 6
Then move your image
over the rectangle and position it in the center. You're done! Here's the result.
