Here is the tutorial to give a 3D Zoom effect to an image using Fireworks.

Step 1

Browse and paste the image on the canvas.

Step 2

Select the image and click on Filters>Eye Candy>Bevel Boss

Step 3

For the Basic option give the values as Bevel Width - 16, Height - 50, Smoothness - 100, Bevel Placement - Inside marquee, Darken deep areas - 0, Shade Interior - not picked. And for the Lighting option the values are Highlight brightness - 70, Size - 64, Highlight and Shadow Colors white and black. And select cutaround in the Bevel Profile.

Step 4

On the same canvas draw a rectangle bigger than the picture and then convert it to bitmap by selecting Flatten Selection. Give a shade to the rectangle.

Step 5

Next is to give value to zoom blur. For example give values as Amount - 80 and Quality - 45. This is done by selecting the rectangle and then click on Filters>Blur>Zoom Blur.

Step 6

Position the image in the center of the rectangle. You will get the final 3D image.
