Dot edged frame in fireworks

This tutorial will teach you how to give a dot edged frame to an image.

 

Step 1


Open an image.

 

Step 2


Select the image and click on Filters>Alien Skin Splat LE>Edges as the screenshot given below.

 

 

Step 3


Select Halftone Dots option from Edge Mode. See the Alien Skin window given below.

 

 

Step 4


You can adjust the Edge Width, Margin and Feature Size sliders. The values we have given here are: Edge Width - 55, Margin - 0, Feature size - 71, Direction - 90 and Random Seed - 20. If you want a transparent fill for the image, you can check the option Transparent Fill, then the image has a white background.

 

Step 5


Here below you can see an image with a dot edged frame and a transparent fill.

 

 

If you are not checked the Transparent Fill checkbox then the color option is active, so you can select a color for your background. See the image below.
