Here is the tutorial to learn how to create drop-down menus in Fireworks and Dreamweaver. It is very easy to create drop down menus in Fireworks. Following are the steps for that.

1. Create an image/button that you would like to use drop-down menus.
2. Then Insert a slice to the image by clicking on Edit/Insert/Slice. Select any slice by right click on the slice and click on Add Pop-Up Menu.
3. Double click in the text filed under the content tab and give a name for the menu item.
4. Click on the '+' symbol to add more menu items and click on Next after entering all the menu items.
5. Then an Appearance tab will arise in which you can specify the color of the text and cells and font size and can also specify as a horizontal or vertical drop-down menu.
6. Click Next. Advanced tab menu appears in which can specify the cell padding, border color and shadow.
7. Click on Next again. And appears the position tab to specify how you would like the drop-down menu to appear like at the bottom right or left of the slice or above the slice and click done.
8. You will get the drop down menu on rolling over the button by choosing File/Preview in Browser.
9. Export the images and layout by clicking on File/ Export and choose the location where you would like to store the files. You will get the code for the drop-down menus from where you stored the files. The firework creates the file as mm_menu.js. The menu items will be coded in the head content of the page.
