Feathering effect in fireworks

Learn how to get smooth and soft edges when cutting a picture/image in Fireworks

This tutorial will teach you how to do this in Fireworks.

Follow these simple steps.

Step 1: Open an image, select the part of the image with the lasso tool found in the Fireworks toolbar.

Step 2: After selecting the part of the image, then click on Edit>Feather. Enter some value for pixels. The number of pixels you enter will determine the softness of the image. The background will be fade out.
