In Fireworks the paste inside tool helps to create pictures in the shape of objects you create.
Here is the easy tutorial demonstration. With the Paste Inside feature you can simply create the shape and paste the image inside it. You can paste pictures inside the readily available shapes like star, spiral, donut, arrow, circle, square or a pie. You can also create a complex shape by yourself and insert a picture inside it. The tutorial provides the steps to create pictures in certain shapes that are already available and you can try with different shapes by using other tool along with this.
Following are the steps:
1. Open a blank document
2. Create the object or select any one from the readily available objects. The shape can be selected from the shape tool in the left tool bar
3. Just drag the shape its will be automatically drawn in the document.

4. Finally select and paste the picture of your choice inside the spiral. It is very to paste the picture. You need to cut the picture using Edit/Cut. Then choose the spiral and click on Edit/Paste Inside.

Finally the picture is pasted inside the shape. You can use this technique for any shape you create or any of the shapes that are already available in Fireworks.
