To create an artificial rain effect in photoshop. Learn how to do this. Simply follow these steps.

Step 1

Open an image and add a new layer.

Step 2

Stay in the new layer and click on Filter>Render>Clouds. Change the Opacity to 60 in layer panel.

Step 3

Click on Filter>Noise>Add Noise. You can see your image grainy. Give this same settings as in this snapshot

Amount - 60

Distribution - Gaussian

Check Monochromatic

Step 4

Click on Filter>Blur>Motion blur. Change the values in the motion blur window .Angle - 73

Distance 10

as seen in the image given here. then click OK.

Step 5

Now change the blending mode of the layer to 'screen'. See your image now.
You can see the difference.

Step 6

The image will lokk like this! With the artificial rain effect!
